This kit replaces the now obsolete GD-ROM drive and software disc GDS-0033 for use with *Naomi 2 mainboards.
Kit comprises of the following parts:
GDS-0042A Naomi Dimm firmware (v4.01) update disc for CF unit.
MDA-G0007 Inital D 3compact flash card.
Compact flash unit.
EPR-23608C Naomi 2 Bios Chip.
Mounting screws.
Installation guide.
Fitting is as follows:
Replace existing Naomi 2 bios with supplied chip, use firmware update disc to update Dimm unit firmware to v4.01, remove GD-ROM drive from mounting plate, fit CF unit to GD-ROM mounting plate, install CF card, connect cables.
This kit uses your existing Initial D 3 DES security key [253-5508-0384]
If you have surplus GD-Rom discs or drives from your upgrades we can offer good rates for them in exchange.
**Please note Naomi mainbords require a NET version DIMM unit, the firmware update will not work on older DIMM units.
